SPRITUAL LIFE

The spiritual journey at Emmanuel College is an exciting venture. Spiritual Life provides programs, opportunities, and services that promote learning, development, and true encounters with God.

We further the learning process by providing co-curricular experiences that enable the holistic development of students. Together with students, faculty, and staff we seek to challenge and support one another in the pursuit of mature relationships the God, self, and others.

These goals are established to successfully fulfill Emmanuel’s true purpose and mission at Student Life. Goal one: Identify the needs of students and establish effective means to address those needs. Goal two: Provide quality programs, opportunities, and services that support growth with God, self, and others. Goal three: Enhance campus environments to support student learning. Goal four: Increase efficiency and effectiveness for the division. Goal five: Promote a culture of diversity.

My position as Campus Pastor is to implement events, settings, relationships, and an environment to encourage students to be a community of authentic followers of Christ. We hope the spiritual climate is vibrant and all-inclusive, assisting students to build biblical views of God, self, and others with the overall aim at contributing to their spiritual formation. Through small groups, corporate gatherings like Convocation and Chapel, classroom learning, spiritual disciplines, and mentoring, those goals can be accomplished.
