"He will not forget your work and the love you have shown Him as you have helped his people and continue to help them." Hebrews 6:10
Koinonia exists to prepare students to be actively engaged Christ-followers who are knowledgeable about the many local and global issues facing our world, the possible solutions to these problems, and the opportunities they have to be actively involved in the solutions. This is accomplished by local outreach opportunities, social justice education programming, and summer missions.
Local outreach projects each semester include fundraising, trips to the local nursing home, homeless ministry, and much more. Koinonia also sponsors a series of short-term missions trips for students. Here is a report of our service learning and outreach for Fall 2010-Spring 2011.
Because of many ways Koinonia has involved Emmanuel Students in community service, Emmanuel College was named to the President's Higher Education Community Service Honor Role. To see our listing and to get more information about the President's Honor Role click here.
