EC students offer free food distribution to local community
As part of a campus effort to raise awareness of hunger as well as reaching out to the local community, students at Emmanuel College offered a free food distribution to the public on Tuesday afternoon, Feb. 25, at the Swails Center.
This project was hosted by EC's Campus Activities Board (CAB) and EC's Mission Northeast Georgia Initiative.
And the Can of Beans Award goes to... Emmanuel College!
Thanks to a challenge by Mrs. Jennifer Lester Benson to her colleagues at Emmanuel College, EC receives the Can of Beans Award as runner-up in the recent Madison County Rotary Club’s Food Drive for the Madison County Food Bank.
This is part of the Rotary Has Heart challenge from Rotary International.

Dr. Cheryl Bridges Johns receives G. Earl Beatty Servant Leadership Award 2013
EC’s School of Christian Ministries honored Dr. Cheryl Bridges Johns (’73) with the G. Earl Beatty Servant Leadership Award during Homecoming Weekend 2013.
This honors her exemplary servant leadership as she has led through serving the body of Christ in the local church, in academia, and in ecumenical and creation care initiatives.
Emmanuel College’s Dustin Clark named to U.S. Archery Team
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – The U.S. Olympic Committee announces Emmanuel College Archer Dustin Clark is named to the 2014 United States Archery Team (USAT) Junior Compound Men's Team.
Emmanuel College again named NAIA Champions of Character Five-Star Institution
KANSAS CITY, Mo. – For the fourth consecutive year, Emmanuel College is again certified as an NAIA Champions of Character Five-Star Institution.
Emmanuel has received this recognition every year since the initiative began in 2009.
