After years as an affiliate member, Emmanuel College joins more than 100 other colleges and universities as a full member of the Council of Christian Colleges and Universities (CCCU).
The news came to President Michael Stewart in December 2011 when Dr. Paul Corts, CCCU president, called to congratulate Emmanuel on being accepted.
The Arts Academy at Emmanuel College in Franklin Springs, Ga., offers a 12-week fall session of classes for children and adults beginning Sept. 20 and ending Dec. 16.
Private music lessons are open for registration throughout the semester, but class registration is only open until Sept. 15.
A community extension of Emmanuel College, the Arts Academy offers professional arts training for the community and focuses on quality professional instruction while integrating faith and the arts.

Rev. John Washington Swails Jr. passed away Saturday, June 12, 2010, at the age of 94. He was loved dearly, respected deeply, and will be missed greatly.
This year’s Southern States Athletic Conference (SSAC) Male Honor Athlete of the Year goes to Emmanuel College’s Trevor M. Lanier. He accepted the award at the conference banquet in Montgomery, Ala. in May just after completing his Bachelor of Science in Multimedia Communication with a 3.9 GPA and graduating with honors.
