Each EC student will have a college email address. This email account must be checked very regularly, if not daily. Email is the most used form of communication on the campus. : All students have internet access through the desktop computers on campus (Aaron computer lab, Library, SAC Computer lab, etc.), plus via the wireless network which is throughout the campus. We understand that a commuter student’s internet access away from the campus may be limited. It is important for commuter students to communicate their internet access limitations to those instructors who use the web and/or email as an integral part of their course instruction.

All full-time enrolled students are required to attend the weekly Tuesday morning Convocation services. Commuter students are welcome to attend the Wednesday night Chapel services as well.

All students with cars will be required to register their vehicle with Parking Services. They will be issued a parking sticker and may only park in the lot designated for their use. Commuters may park in the Admissions lot, the portion of the Wellons Science Center lot which is behind the Library, In the FS PH Church lot and the church side of the gym parking lot.

The first weekend during the Fall is called Alpha Weekend, and the first weekend at the beginning of the Spring term is A New Beginnings @ Weekend. We have a very comprehensive and competitive intercollegiate athletic program featuring both men’s and women’s sports. They would greatly appreciate your active support and attendance. Some coaches may allow an opportunity for students to compete for walk-on roster positions. We also have a recreational intramural sports program which runs throughout the year.

Throughout the semester, the college offers Cultural Awareness Program (CAP) Events. Attendance to at least 12 CAP events over your 4 years is a graduation requirement. These events are advertised via posters throughout the campus, plus on the College’s master calendar on the website. Many of these events are at night, but some are during the day which usually fits better into the commuter’s schedule.

The Lion=s Den, in addition to the food service area, also has a lounge area with a large screen TV. 3) The LifeSpring Café is located in the LifeSpring/EC bookstore. The College's Student Handbook is available on line under the Student Life web page. The handbook includes valuable information on college resources, student's rights and responsibilities, the College's Code of Conduct and disciplinary procedures, plus other important information. The handbook is revised on an annual basis. The handbook contains additional information concerning campus life and standards beyond what is contained in this tip sheet. It is the student's responsibility to be knowledgeable of what is in the handbook.
We pray your time at Emmanuel will not only be a time of educational and intellectual development, but also a time of spiritual and relational development. Although we offer Convocations, Chapels, and small group bible studies on the campus, we want you plugged into a local Church body. We pray that your time at Emmanuel will be one in which you will actively engage God, Self, and Others!
I look forward to working with you over the course of your Emmanuel career! Please feel free to contact me either via my office in Student Life (across from the gym) or email at pcortese@ec.edu.
