Integration of Faith and Learning

Today’s young people genuinely desire to change the world, but many still lack the necessary tools to effectively make a difference. Consider the massive protests that have taken place around the country in recent months. They were carried out by a generation filled with passion and drive, but lacking in purpose and direction. The need for educated, ethical leaders is urgent. The need for a quality Christian education designed to develop such leaders is even more so.
Since 1919, Emmanuel College has been preparing students to become Christlike disciples who integrate faith, learning, and living for effective careers, scholarship, and service. Our focus in recent years has been to develop new and innovative approaches to fulfill our core commitment.
The projects funded by the Growing Forward campaign will raise an estimated $4 million. This goal is a challenge and an opportunity. Academic and administrative leaders, trustees, alumni, and friends provided input and tested the resulting plan. We set priorities. We adjusted the size and scope of projects. In the end, we agreed that Growing Forward requires a unified and extraordinary effort, and that the time to act is now.
A generation with this kind of potential is certainly worth the effort.
