In response to recommendations by the U. S. Department of Education and the Centers for Disease Control for the 2009-2010 flu season, Emmanuel College has adopted the following attendance policy for the 2009-2010 academic year.

2009-2010 Attendance Policy Addendum:  Faculty will allow students to miss class due to the flu without fear of failure provided students e-mail or call their professors to let them know they will miss class due to the flu. Students who have the flu are encouraged to make every attempt to offer proof of this from a doctor, parent, RAD, RC, or the like. Students who must miss class due to the flu are also required to notify the Registrar. Upon returning to classes, the student is required to make arrangements with faculty for any missed work within one week of returning. Students are encouraged to maintain contact with the faculty concerning their illness and attempt to complete and turn in via e-mail or NetLearn any available coursework while away from class.
