Dr. Deborah Stark received her B.M.M. from Ozark Christian College, her M.M. from Pittsburg State and her D.A. from Ball State in vocal performance. She directs Emmanuel Arts Academy and teaches applied voice, vocal pedagogy, history of church music, musical theatre (fall and spring musical productions), and is the sponsor of EC ACTS. Besides teaching and running her private voice studio business, she stays active as a soprano soloist for church, community, Lamplight Trio, and other professional engagements and is the part-time minister of music for Royston Baptist Church. A member of NATS, CMS, MENC, and Phi Kappa Phi, she feels her purpose is to mentor and train musicians for a life of service and excellence. She gardens, reads, runs and loves the outdoors. Her husband, Tim, teaches English at EC and they have two daughters, Hannah and Sierra.
