Adjunct Instructor
Dr. Teresa Sorrells, adjunct professor of education and social science, taught 32 years at Emmanuel College before retiring as full time professor in 2007. Her Doctor of Education degree in Social Science Education was earned at the University of Georgia as well as her master’s and bachelor’s degrees in history. Her special interests in history are the Near East and pre-Reconstruction American History. She serves as a youth instructor and lay speaker for the Pennington Chapel United Methodist Church. Her non-academic interests include camping and other activities with her husband, Vernon, and her four young granddaughters who are Hannah, Lily, Haley, and Emma.
