Latana Coile, Adjunct Instructor in Education, teaches classroom and behavior management to pre-service teachers. She holds a Masters degree in Elementary Education from Piedmont College and a BSEd. in Secondary Social Sciences from the University of Georgia. With 21 years of teaching experience in the secondary classroom, Mrs. Coile’s career in education began as a social studies teacher/coach at Franklin County High School in Carnesville, GA. Presently, Mrs. Coile teaches AP U.S. History, Psychology, and Sociology at Madison County High School in Danielsville, GA. Mrs. Coile holds certifications as a College Board AP instructor; a Teacher Support Specialist; and as a Gifted instructor. Throughout her teaching career, Mrs. Coile has twice been named “Teacher of the Year” and served as the “System Teacher of the Year” for Madison County Schools in 2003. Five times she has been named “STAR Teacher” and served as one of 16 “Mentor Teachers” for the Inaugural PAGE Teacher Academy Program in 2005-2006. Mrs. Coile lives in Danielsville with Robin, her husband of 21 years.
