Dr. Andrew Osborne - PhotographyDr. Andrew Osborne - Photography

Dr. Andrew Osborne has been an avid photographer for over 20 years.   In that time, his craft evolved from high school paper work with a manual Minolta 35mm SLR, to the Canon EOS 35mm system in college.  Dr. Osborne’s experience in the digital world began in 2000 with the purchase of a 2 megapixel Nikon Point and Shoot.  A dozen cameras later, he has embraced the digital SLR as the now and future of photography

Dr. Osborne is a part-time professional photographer whose work spans weddings and events to wildlife and stock photography.  Most recently, he spent a week as the staff photographer for Camp Kudzu for children with type 1 diabetes.

Dr. Osborne’s education includes an ACS certified BSCHEM degree from the University of Georgia (1994) and a Ph.D. in Chemistry from the University of Georgia (2002) under the direction of Robert S. Phillips.  His graduate research was largely centered on spectroscopy, or the interaction of light and matter.  He brings this training in science, more than a decade of teaching experience, and a laid back personality to the photography classroom.
