Elizabeth Chitwood holds a BA in Music Performance from Emmanuel College (2006) with an emphasis in piano performance and a minor in organ.  She is currently working on her MM in Piano Pedagogy at the University of Georgia.  She expects to graduate in May of 2008.  Ms. Chitwood also received a Graduate Teaching Assistantship position at UGA for the 07-08 year; her responsibilities include teaching class piano for non-piano majors.  Other teaching experience includes a private music studio opened in 1997 and a position on the faculty of the Community Music School at the University of Georgia.  Solo performance experience includes three undergraduate recitals as well as numerous appearances in studio recitals.  She plans to play her Masters Recital in the fall of 2007.  Ms. Chitwood has also served as accompanist for the Emmanuel College Chorale (02-06), the Emmanuel College Chamber Choir (04-06), and Emmanuel ACTS (05-06).  She has experience as an accompanist for vocalists and instrumentalists as well.  Ms. Chitwood studied piano with Mr. Joey Hokayem, Mrs. Carol White, Dr. Emma Pettyjohn, and is currently studying with Dr. Martha Thomas.
