Position: Early Childhood Education (Posted 05/05/2008)

 

Emmanuel College is seeking an innovative educator for a faculty position in Early Childhood Education available August 2008.  Responsibilities include teaching undergraduate courses, supervising practicum students, supervising student teachers, and advising education majors.  PhD or EdD preferred, Masters or Specialist considered.  Experience teaching in a P-5 environment is required.

Position:  History Faculty (Posted 04/21/2008)

 

Emmanuel College seeks to hire a full-time history faculty member effective August 2008 (rank and compensation commensurate with education and experience).

Essential Functions: teach undergraduate courses in history; committee service; and academic advising.


Qualifications: Emmanuel seeks faculty who are dedicated to engaging students actively in the learning process and to continuous improvement of their own teaching skills. Ph.D preferred; masters and ABD considered.  The preferred candidate will be qualified to teach European and non-Western history.  (The ability to teach introductory courses in American Government, State and Local Government, History and Government of Georgia, and/or Human Geography also desirable.)

Position:  Assistant/Associate Professor of English (Rhetoric/WID Director)

 

Emmanuel College is a Christ-centered, liberal arts college, seeking to hire an Assistant/Associate Professor of English effective August 2008.  An expertise in rhetoric is desirable since the position will include teaching composition courses and serving as Director or Assistant Director of the Quality Enhancement Plan (WID).  All Emmanuel English faculty are expected to teach freshmen composition, advise students, and serve on committees.  Ph.D.’s preferred; M.A.’s will be considered. 

 

Emmanuel seeks faculty with interest and ability in the integration of faith and learning as well as faculty who are committed to continuous teaching improvement.  (Applications will be accepted until the position is filled.  This position has been authorized, pending final budget approval.)
