The Dark Glasses Group

The Dark Glasses Group meets to view, discuss, analyze, evaluate, promote and enjoy movies in the interest of gaining a deeper appreciation for and understanding of the techniques of filmed storytelling—especially literary symbolism, composition of imagery, spiritual implications and cultural context—and the people who artfully (or occasionally goofily and/or poorly) express their gifts and abilities through those techniques. Mr. Stark sponsors the group. 

Sigma Tau Delta

Sigma Tau Delta is the international English honor society. Emmanuel College received its charter to initiate the Alpha Theta Sigma chapter in 1998. English majors and minors who are in the top 35 percent of their class and have a grade point average in English of at least 3.0 are eligible to join. Sigma Tau Delta, sponsored by Mrs. Barbara Goodwin, promotes special events of literary interest on the Emmanuel College campus and field trips to local plays. 

Montage

Published in magazine form since 1998, in CD form in 2006 and 2007, and in full-color magazine format since 2008,Montage presents the best of student, staff and faculty creative writing, art and photography. Montage is published in the spring semester. Mr. Nathan Gilmour and Dr. Chris Hair guide its production.
