Quality Enhancement Plan (QEP)
Name of the Emmanuel College QEP:
“Building a Path Towards Success”
Purpose:
Required by the Southern Association of College and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC)*, the EC QEP is designed to support freshmen as they transition from high school to college and begin the path towards degree completion and career success.
Program Highlights:
Freshmen are required to complete EC 101 Foundations, a 10-week course dedicated to equipping students with tools for success, improving their understanding of key academic, personal and social skills, and connecting them to the community and culture of EC. Students are grouped by major and the course instructor, or Faculty Mentor, works alongside an assigned upper-level Peer Mentor. Annual assessments of the program’s effectiveness are measured by retention rates and student GPAs.
