Increase in Giving and Student Enrollment

November and December proved to be outstanding months for donations to Emmanuel College.

November contributions were more than $103,000 and more than $407,000 in December. These end-of-the-year gifts totaled more than $500,000 to general fund, scholarships, special projects, etc. We believe the windows of Heaven are open for us, and we are trusting God for greater provision in the days to come.

Student count for Spring Semester has caused great rejoicing. The fulltime count is 591 for Spring – up from 580 in the Fall. Headcount is 675 for Spring – up from 657 in the Fall. We believe this is resulting from a better than average retention rate, increase in transfer students, and greater academic success by some students.

As you know, it is highly unusual to have a higher number in the Spring than in the Fall. These numbers will help to give us greater traction for the Fall 2008 enrollment.
