UGA’s Dr. Charles Bullock Discusses US Presidential Scenarios

at Emmanuel College Oct. 6

(FRANKLIN SPRINGS, Ga.)—Emmanuel College welcomes Dr. Charles Bullock at 2 p.m. Monday, Oct. 6, in Taylor Chapel to discuss the upcoming presidential election. He will present scenarios of what the public can expect if Obama is elected or if McCain is elected.  In addition, he will talk about several key issues connected with the election.

The community is welcome to attend this free event, sponsored by EC’s Cultural Awareness Program (CAP).

“Dr. Bullock is THE person to whom the local newspapers, TV and radio stations go for comments about political races,” says Dr. Emma Pettyjohn, EC music professor and CAP committee member.

Dr. Bullock holds the Richard B. Russell Chair in Political Science and is the Josiah Meigs Distinguished Teaching Professor and an adjunct professor of law at The University of Georgia.  He has been at UGA since 1968 with the exception of one year when he served as legislative assistant to Congressman Bill Stuckey and two years when he was Professor of Political Science at the University of Houston.  In 2005 he was a senior fellow at Oxford University’s Rothermere American Institute.
