Music Major Scholarships
Emmanuel College awards several scholarships to qualified applicants who demonstrate excellent musical abilities and show outstanding promise as music majors. Scholarships are awarded on the basis of individual auditions/interviews and SAT scores/high school transcripts. Additional scholarships may be awarded at the discretion of the music faculty. The renewal of a scholarship in succeeding years is dependent on the student's performance and the availability of funds.

Scholarship Eligibility- Potential incoming freshmen must be fully accepted by the Admissions Department and have completed a financial aid application before awards will be made. Students already enrolled in the college are also eligible for scholarship based on their musical potential and progress, and their GPA. A student receiving other types of scholarships will have those funds applied to his or her account before the music scholarship is applied. Students are not allowed to receive more scholarship funds than the allowable amounts for tuition and music fees.

Requirements for Retaining Scholarships-Any students accepting a music scholarship of any kind must sign a written statement of requirements for that scholarship. These statements are presented to the students at the beginning of fall and spring semesters. Students wishing to retain their music scholarships must abide by all the rules and regulations of Emmanuel College and the Music Department. Funds awarded in the fall semester are divided so that half of the award will be applied towards the fall tuition and half towards the spring tuition. Students not meeting the requirements for retaining their scholarships will have the remainder deleted from their accounts in the spring semester. Students who have been awarded scholarships for the spring semester will receive half of the full amount for the year, but those funds will all be applied at once to the students' accounts.
  • Music Major or Music Minor Scholarships-The student must remain a music major in his or her applied area for the entire school year, maintain a minimum GPA of 3.0 in all music classes, and a minimum GPA of 2.0 overall.
