There are three ways to sign your FAFSA:

1) Using your PIN to sign electronically (Quickest)

To submit a FAFSA and sign electronically, you must have a Federal Student Aid PIN.  You are required to use a PIN to ensure the privacy of the information submitted when you sign the FAFSA.  Follow these steps to sign the FAFSA electronically:

• Go to the FAFSA on the Web site at http://www.fafsa.ed.gov/ (click here).
• Select "Sign Electronically with Your PIN" from the Filling Out a FAFSA section of the home page.
• Select the school year of the application you or your parent want to sign.  Click Next.
• Indicate whether you are signing as a parent or a student.
• Confirm your identity by providing your Social Security Number, first two letters of your last name, date of birth and PIN.  Click Submit.  (Enter the necessary information about the student if you are signing as a parent.)

2) Using the FAFSA Signature Page

To use the Signature Page to provide , follow the steps below.  

• Go to the FAFSA on the Web site at http://www.fafsa.ed.gov/ (click here).
• Select "Check Status of a Submitted FAFSA or Print Signature Page" from the FAFSA Follow-Up of the home page.
• Select Next to continue.
• Confirm your identity by providing your Social Security Number, your last name, your first name, date of birth and the year of your application.  Click Submit.
• At the Signature Section of the FAFSA, print out a Signature Page by selecting the Print button (or by selecting File, Print from the menu bar).
• Once the Signature Page prints successfully, provide all required signatures and mail to the Federal Student Aid (the address is on the Signature Page).

• Once the SAR has been received, please review and make corrections if necessary.
• Please provide the necessary signature in Step Seven of the SAR.
• Mail pages 5 -10 along with signatures to the address provided on page 10.
