Student Employment OpportunitiesStudent Employment Opportunities

Students have the opportunity to seek employment while attending Emmanuel College.  Supervisors have the flexibility to hire students of their choice.  The college cannot guarantee employment to any student, since there are more students interested in employment than there are positions available.  Most positions are paid at least minimum wage.

There are two types of student employment:

Federal Work-Study (FWS)

This program is for students who have demonstrated need according to the results of the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).  The college issues checks directly to students on a monthly basis. The approximate number of positions available in this program for the 2008-2009 academic year is 125.

Institutional Work-Study (IWS)

This program is for students who are not eligible for the Federal Work-Study program, including international students. The college issues checks directly to students on a monthly basis. The approximate number of positions available in this program for the 2008-2009 academic year is 50.

Employment questions should be directed to Student Employment Coordinator, Ms. Joann Harper at (706) 245-2881 or jharper@ec.edu.
