Parking violations are assessed and posted to the student’s account. Parking fines must be paid within 5 class days of the receipt of the ticket. Students with outstanding parking fines at the end of the semester may not be permitted to register for the following semester. Each violation will be assessed independently. Two or more fines may be applied if vehicle is in violation of more than one of the offences below at the same time. Fines may be doubled in the event of chronic or excessive parking violations. Fines are levied on violations that include, but are not limited to:

Minimum $15.00 fine

• Resident in a commuter lot

• Resident in a lot not assigned to vehicle

• Commuter in a resident lot

• Parking in a reserved space

·         visitor

·         faculty/staff

·         resident

·         commuter

• Parking on the wrong side of the street

• Parking improperly

• Parking on grass

• Parking in loading zone

• Parking beside a yellow curb

• No parking permit visible

Minimum $25.00 fine

• Parking in a “No Parking Zone”

• Parking in a fire lane / zone

• Blocking access to a fire hydrant

• Parking in a handicap parking space without a permit
