Study in these areas will prepare students for entry-level management positions in a variety of business organizations.

GOALS

To accomplish its mission, the Business Administration program will:

  1. Provide education and training through business courses deemed essential to successful employment after graduation.
  2. Prepare interested students for successful pursuit of graduate study in the field of business administration.
  3. Maintain a visible involvement in the local community, so as to provide avenues of exposure and support for students, as well as possible employment opportunities.

OBJECTIVES

In order to accomplish its goals, the School of Business will strive to provide its students:

  1. a strong foundation in the Christian faith, including (but not limited to) a study of Christian business ethics, which will allow the student to contribute effectively to achieving the goals of the organization with which he/she may be associated.
  2. academic preparation in a variety of business disciplines.
  3. the means by which you can develop and apply critical thinking skills, communication skills (both oral and written), and interpersonal relationship skills.
  4. quality Christian faculty who will provide a model of Christian leadership, citizenship, and stewardship.
  5. updated classroom facilities with complementing technologies (as resources permit).
  6. internship opportunities (where possible) to enhance your awareness of on-the-job activities, as well as give the student the opportunity for possible employment.
  7. exposure to the world of business through participation in School of Business Forums. These forums engage the student through seminars with representatives of well-known businesses, allowing opportunities for information gathering and networking.
  8. the avenues to participate in academic, social, and leadership student organizations.

ASSESSMENT

Goals and Objectives are evaluated by:

  1. Periodic course examinations during a given semester.
  2. Comprehensive final examinations at the close of each semester.
  3. Exit examinations prior to graduation.
