Whitney Glenn earned recognition to the All Conference All Academic Team. The Lady Lions finished being ranked in the final NAIA National Poll for the first time in school history and were one position from earning an NAIA at large bid to another National Tournament. Coach Bona was recognized as the NCCAA 2008 Regional Coach of the Year. This team had three senior leaders; Felecia Towler, RaShunda Laster, and Whitney Glenn. These Ladies led the team by being wonderful examples of hustle, desire, caring, and teamwork to their teammates. When asked about this season Emmanuel’s Coach Mike Bona stated, “This group is a special group of students and athletes. Because of their will to succeed and their desire to stay together all year as a team, they had a fantastic season. It has been a real joy to be a part of this team and this season. I will always have fond memories of this year’s team and will always be thankful I was along for the ride.”
