Carrie ‘Tenea’ Mann has earned recognition as a member of the Southern States Athletic Conference (SSAC) 2008 Women’s Basketball All Conference team. The SSAC selection process includes a review of ‘whole person’ perspective. Tenea excels on the basketball court, in the classroom, and in her community. Mike Bona, EC Women’s Basketball Head Coach, and Athletics Director, noted that one of the many reasons leading to Tenea’s nomination is her total commitment to enriching the lives of her team mates and class mates. Tenea’s nomination received the confirmation of all 11 of the SSAC Women’s Basketball Head Coaches.

 

Tenea is 5’7’ and plays both the forward and wing positions with equal ability and passion. In two short seasons of play Tenea has netted 452 points, pulled down 128 rebounds, handed out 74 assists, collected 51 steals, and blocked 10 shots.

 

Tenea is a sophomore, majoring in Early Childhood Education. She calls Smyrna, GA home, and she is a graduate of Campbell High School.

 

Felecia Evette Towler was recognized as a nominee to the Southern States Athletic Conference (SSAC) 2008 Women’s Basketball All Conference team during the recent SSAC awards ceremonies . The SSAC selection process includes a review of ‘whole person’ perspective. Mike Bona, EC Women’s Basketball Head Coach and Athletics Director, noted that “Felecia is one of our senior leaders who has been here all four years.” ” She was named to the National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA) first team All- American team last year.” Felecia’s nomination was confirmed by all 11 SSAC Women’s Basketball Head Coaches.

 

Felecia is a 5’10” power forward and center. In four seasons she has netted over 1577 points, pulled down over 1000 rebounds, handed out 138 assists, collected 199 steals, and blocked 71 shots.

 

Felecia maintains a 3.2 grade point average, and will complete her Bachelor of Science with a concentration in Early Childhood Education. Felecia is a graduate of Clarke Central High School. She resides in Bogart, GA with her parents Marvin & Felicia Towler.

 

Whitney Brooke Glenn has been selected as a member of the Southern States Athletic Conference (SSAC) 2008 Women’s Basketball All Academic Team. Mike Bona, EC Women’s Basketball Head Coach, noted that: “Whitney is the consummate student and athlete. In her four years at Emmanuel she has been involved in the student government association, the Emmanuel Players, Miss Emmanuel court, several mission trips overseas, served as team Chaplin, and now our team mom.” Whitney’s nomination was confirmed by each of the 11 SSAC Women’s Basketball Head Coaches.

 

Whitney is a 5’7” point guard. Her style of power-play and level of intensity frequently draws a defensive double-team effort that creates opportunities for Whitney to find an open team mate. Whitney has handed out 151 assists, collected 139 steals, pulled down 238 rebounds, and scored 558 points. 

Whitney maintains a 3.4 grade point average and will graduate in May 2008 with a Bachelor of Science in Communication with a concentration in multimedia production. Whitney is a graduate of Shiloh High School. She calls Lilburn, GA home, where she resides with her parents, Eugene & Debra Glenn.
