Tedrick Allen Hudson has been recognized as the Southern States Athletic Conference (SSAC) Freshman of the Year for 2008, and selected as a member of the SSAC 2008 All Freshman Team. The SSAC selection process includes a review of ‘whole person’ perspective. To be nominated and recognized by his peers, Tedrick must meet the traditional academic criterion. He must also meet the specific expectation of respect, responsibility, integrity, servant leadership, and sportsmanship. The final selection is determined by confirmation of each of the ten (10) SSAC basketball head coaches.

Tedrick is a 6’ 2” guard. In his first season as an EC Lion, Tedrick has played in all 30 games this season, starting in 29 games. He has pulled down 164 rebounds, handed out 34 assists, blocked 12 shots, and netted 445 points while shooting 43% from the floor and 41% from beyond the three-point arch.

TJ Rosene, EC Lions Basketball Head Coach, noted that Tedrick plays with the same intensity, every minute of every game. His leadership skills, and reliability, on- and off of the floor, provide a positive image of the successful student-athlete.

Tedrick is a Pre-Law major. He is a resident of Douglasville, GA, and is a graduate of Chapel Hill High School
